Typical website prices in Kuwait
Prices in Kuwait vary a lot because "a website" can mean anything from a one page template to a full online store with payments and customer accounts. These are the rough ranges we see in the market in 2026, from the cheapest option to the most complete.
Approximate one time build costs unless stated. Large platforms, apps and custom systems can cost considerably more.
The cheapest option is rarely the cheapest over two or three years. Templates look like everyone else, freelancers can be hard to reach after launch, and a site that has to be rebuilt a year later costs you twice. A studio build costs more on day one but should not need replacing.

What changes the price
When two quotes for "a website" differ by hundreds of dinars, the difference almost always comes from these six things.
- Number of pages and sections. A 5 page business site is a very different job from a 20 page site with a blog, services and case studies.
- Arabic and English. A proper bilingual site plans right to left Arabic layouts and typography, not just translated text, and that takes real design work.
- Online store features. Product count, variants, delivery rules and stock management all add time.
- Payments. Connecting KNET and cards through a Kuwait gateway such as MyFatoorah or Tap needs setup, testing and a merchant account.
- Custom features. Booking systems, customer accounts and admin dashboards are built, not switched on.
- Content and timeline. If your text and photos are ready, the project moves faster. Very tight deadlines usually cost more.

The costs after launch
The build price is only part of the picture. Every website has running costs, and a good quote tells you about them up front.
- Domain name: a .com costs a few dinars a year. A .com.kw is registered through a local provider and usually costs more.
- Hosting and maintenance: keeps the site online, secure and updated. At AlKayanNova this is KD 150, KD 250 or KD 400 a year depending on the package. This fee can increase as your business grows and the site needs more, such as a bigger database, more storage or faster bandwidth for more visitors.
- Payment gateway fees: KNET and card providers charge a fee per transaction. Rates differ by provider, so check their current pricing before you choose.
- Changes and new features: fixes to errors in the original build should be free, while new pages or features are normally quoted separately.
Ask every provider the same question: "What will I pay in year two?" A clear answer is a good sign.

There is no single right answer. If you are testing an idea, a template is fine. If customers judge your business by your website, and in Kuwait most do on their phone before they message you, a custom site usually pays for itself.

How to avoid paying twice
Most businesses that need to buy a second website made one of these mistakes the first time. Check each one before you sign.
- Own your domain name, registered in your name or your company's.
- Get the scope, price and timeline in writing before any work starts.
- Plan Arabic and English from the beginning, not as an add on later.
- Make sure it is designed for phones first; most of your visitors are on mobile.
- Check that basic SEO is included: page titles, structure, sitemap and speed.
- Agree what happens after launch: hosting, fixes, and the cost of changes.
